Can anyone help my poor befuddled brain?
I saw a tutorial on-line a while back, showing how to transfer laser printed text onto wood. I can find loads of tutorials for using an iron, but the one I saw was a chemical process. I just cannot for the life of me remember where I saw it.

I use acetone ( nail varnish remover) as the solvent and have turned a wooden egg to roll across the paper to get pressure on the paper to transfer the image. Don't forget to reverse the image so that it comes out the right way around. Also use masking tape to hold the paper down - it moves easily when rolling it otherwise.

Zylene works, some people even use marker pens that contain zylene successfully, but I had reasonable success with zylene liquid in the past.

Saw an interesting technique recently on one of Steve Ramsey's videos where he used an inkjet printer onto label material and got a very good result easily - check it out here

regards

Brian
