Not been to any boot sales for the last 3 weeks , feeling a bit under the weather , off work as well

I was not going today either but the sun was shining ( Makes a change ) Thought I had better make some attempt to get out of the house so at 10.30am off I went

Found this nice Disston saw £1

And a nice nearly new Stanley 805 egg beater still boxed with a set of drills and 3 bits for £3

One stall holder had 3 nice small molding wooden planes but he wanted £12 each or 3 for £30  needless to say he still has them

Only got half way round and was knackered so went home early :( Ho Hum

Sorry to hear you have been under the weather Allen....I thought there was a shortage of bootfair items from north of the river recently!

That saw was worth the trek mate....lovely old saw indeed. Can't wait to see it cleaned up!

Cheers mate

Jim

Heck - memory lane beckons. A set of those Capital drills in the yellow plastic wallet were my first decent drill bits, in about 1967 - lasted for years, well after the plastic wallet had fatigue fractured across the fold. And mostly used with that Stanley eggbeater. :)
