I can never get a fine finish when patching in, i usually make up a wet/runny mix which gives a heavy finish, ok on older properties, but i have just fitted some Patio doors and need to patch in with a fine splatter.
Cannot find anything on the net regards using a Tyrolene gun so looking for help here.
Whats the best mix and technique.
Thanks.

Its been years since i used one, but wet/ runny was a must. Try varying the speed of rotation. You could set a sheet of plasterboard or hardboard up to get a quick practice run 😁

Probably no help at all o_O but if it is only to patch in small areas could you get an acceptable finish by using a big brush and sort of splatter it on .

All done now, i got a better finish by using sharp sand instead of fine and added lime to the mix.
