You can make doors using basic tools but a planer/thicknesser and table saw are well neigh essential. A profile and scribe setup on the router table will look more professional. Poplar is by far the best wood being grain free. Lastly don't forget finishing. You need spraying facilities preferably solvent free to avoid stringent safety rules. Good luck .! :giggle:
