Beech Bowl

Just finished this Beech bowl. It is 9" dia and 3 1/2" tall as the wood is a bit plain I thought I would add some texturing to the outside

Hit it right with the texturing, just enough character to add a finishing touch without overpowering it.

+1 nice clean lines Dalboy and the texturing brings welcome relief from the danger of the non striking figure.

Thank you all for the great comments I seem to go for the simpler shapes with bowls and only add texture if the wood is on the plainer side. I feel that to texture say a piece of spalted wood it could very well get lost on the piece.
