I have been searching the web for a better replacement to the bearing guide clamps that Knappers correctly back in 2010 described as made of cast aluminium or CHEESE

If Knappers is still active could he point me to (or provide a service) to his better solution please

Had the same problem with my 315, 2 sets of original guides crumbled. I've just replaced them with the upgraded rail and guide set here and what a difference, very pleased with increased stiffness and easy adjustability.

Those look just the job. I'd been debating what to do about mine. The previous owner had fitted different guides but then failed to clean them. At all. They were so gummed up I put the old ones back on but I was hoping I'd stumble on something easier to adjust. Fab.

very useful to know that an upgraded guide is available.

Creates a dilemma for me as have been planning to buy a Record Sabre 350 sometime soon to replace my BAS316G so not sure about spending more money on the existing one?
