I have been meaning to have a go at doing Chas's bangles for ages so when Chas said have a go and i was given some off cuts of Walnut i thought i would,so found some Ash out taht i have had for years so well seasoned and these are the results,so far
I managed to get twelve glued up with what i had, some Beech and Walnut so will finish those anotehr time.
these are 65-70-75- and 80mm inside dia, think i might need a 60mm for smaller wrists.
I use Titebond II to glue the parts so hope taht is strong enough??

They look lovely, Paul.

Have you done a WIP?

Greg
I think Chas has covered this some where on here.Only difference is i used teh table saw rather than a chop saw.
I will do a WIP next time i cut some parts up

Presume Paul uses a similar method to This (Bangles) (Only difference these days is I don't sand, stock prep closer & Chop saw cutting more accurate with practice)

Take care if gripping segmented stuff in expansion mode as shown above slim wood sections and glue joints are no match for a scroll chuck.

Yes you will - I've made bangles in the past and I have small hands - 60mm is perfect for me :)

Cheers Kym.
When i made a load of bangles last time, which was some time ago now, everyone wanted the larger sizes, biggest i made was 90mm
The smallest i can do with this batch is the 65mm so will have to cut some wider parts for the smaller ones.
