No my friends, not my shiny new Fox broken down crapomatic bandsaw that has been waiting for parts since April but my 15-20 year old trusty high quality Clarke metal cutting saw.
Used it to cut 6mm thick 25mm wide strips to reinforce the repair.
The damage
All crystallised and original bad welds.
Now ground back to good steel.
Clamped together and joined up with weld.
same the other side.
Now add stiffeners all along the width. (cut with the bandsaw)
weld the other end of the outer stiffener and refit the blade assembly.
Off to do a bit of grass trimming .
Thanks to this which has worked out of the box ever since I had it.
