Good to hear. MkIIs or the Dovetail version? What sizes did you choose?

Just that I'm considering trading up from my basic Stanley's (bevel edges are a bit too fat for dovetails).

got a set of 6 in a nice denim tool roll as far as i no they are mk 11 but i am happy

Lurcher thanks for your feed back and praise I will pass it onto Garry and Sarah, they are indeed MK11 3,6,9,12,19 and the all important 25mm in a denim roll. Standard AI sets of 6 have 3,6,9,12,15 and 19mm I have a slightly different spec as I feel the 25mm is the most regularly used chisel.

The MK11 have very fine lands on the sides of the chisels and are great for general bench work and Dovetailing. The Dovetail set are very attractive and they have a different oval top profile, rather than being bevel edge they have a shallow rounded top which are comfortable to hold when paring. Within the Dovetail set there is also a left and right hand skew for working into the corners of lapped or blind dovetails. If people already have MK11 they don't need to buy a Dovetail set (but they are rather nice) you may be better off getting an AI Square End Fishtail chisel which we have asked them to produce.
Cheers Peter
