applying danish oil

when applying danish oil when its dry do i just recoat or should i rub it down before applying the next coat hope its not too daft a question thanks guys

A lot will depend on the effect you are after. I do the 1st coat diluted with 20% white spirit followed by a second coat then sand followed by another 2 or 3 coats wirewooling between.

pour it on thick, give it a few minutes, then polish it off. repeat 3 times+

then a few coats of fides supreme wax say 3 times same as before with the thick application,
