Wow, just wow! Can just imagine SHMBO's face as the estate car rolls up the drive with the tailgate lashed down with some blue poly, her best bra hanging off the end to warn motorists of the slightly protruding load and this hanging out the back!

Bidders anyone?

Funnily enough I linked the exact same auction on an earlier post! I thought the first picture on the eBay posting was a cracker, great light, composition, spot on depth of field drawing the eye to the saw, it would make an awesome print blown up on the all of the right man cave.

I've seen a similar bandsaw in operation at a place that resawed old mill beams. Monster saws, the blades are frightening.

I would not fancy unfolding a blade for that! Nope. No. Never.

It's best done as a a two man job... I have little scars on my arm from forgetting to put my Kevlar sleves on, and subsequently loosing just enough grip to let the blade spring an inch or two as I took the wire off, lesson learned.

On topic, these saws come up pretty frequently, in part I think because most modern mills have invested or would like to invest in modern PLC controlled sawing systems, so the market to sell your old saws is more limited to specialist businesses, and small concerns where re-sawing or log breakdown is only an occasional task.

I'd have one in a shot, if I had space to keep one.

Just noticed the circular saw blade leaning against the wall in the background. Now that's a table saw (wonder if they do a dado set in that size :norm:).
