Just been watching the BBC News, showing the floods in Cumbria. The interviewer asked a flood victim "so you have lost all your possessions, how does that make you feel?" For a moment the victim was unable to speak, he was so close to tears. I thought to myself, what a stupid question to ask someone. How would anybody feel?
This happens so often after disasters, so thoughtless - just milking the situation for more news coverage. And obviously the interviewer already knows how the victims must feel.
