Just been watching the BBC News, showing the floods in Cumbria. The interviewer asked a flood victim "so you have lost all your possessions, how does that make you feel?" For a moment the victim was unable to speak, he was so close to tears. I thought to myself, what a stupid question to ask someone. How would anybody feel?
This happens so often after disasters, so thoughtless - just milking the situation for more news coverage. And obviously the interviewer already knows how the victims must feel.

The reason I don't have a TV for at least past 5years, and saves paying the £150/year tv tax as well

My mother's a hoarder. If she got flooded she'd probably feel relieved that all the clutter would finally be gone

They do seem to set out to get some tears, the bar stuards.

Bad news always takes precedence over anything else "If it bleeds, it leads!"

And some of the comments from the reporters...........
