Well the competition has come to an end and I'll bet all the guys that didn't put the date down for the 3rd are cursing themselves, well there were no takers on the 3rd.

Anyway so as not to prolong things here it is.

Not me. I was down for the 14th April.

Adam

I was down for the 1st April, April Fools Day, thought it might appeal to Alf's sense of humour !

Don't know if nearest to actual wins, or whether it needs a direct hit on the 3rd ?!!!

Cheers, Paul. :D

Hmm, I was down for 1st April as well. Too many jokers round here :D

Dave

Go Bokke! (referring to the Springbucks for those who aren't familiar with South African colloquialism)

Rob

I can't remember either.

No e-mail history on Outlook Express.

Never win anything anyway so it can't be me. :(

I know who it is ('cos I asked this morning). :-# Either Waka's messing with your minds - or he's gone out and hasn't seen that he forgot the vital bit. #-o

If I'd posted on April 1st how would you have known it was true? :-k

Cheers, Alf

I had April 19th (IIRC). I was hoping Alf would start messing about and slow waaay down with her posting frequency. At the time I e-mailed, I think Alf was on course for 19th March (my B-day BTW), so I just added a month on to that, and hoped I was right.

I thought the spreadsheet was meant to be posted by Waka. I for one would be interested to see it.

Brad

So there are some of you who can't remember the time and date you choose, below is the total list of entrants with times etc.

You can see that the nearest time and date to Alf's 10,000th (16:59 on 3rd April) post was on the 2nd April at 8pm.

So the lucky winner is Lord Nibbo.

Thank you all for taking part.

Oooh, so close!

I don't post much (more reading and observing from the sidelines), but I must say, this board has one of the best community spirits I've seen on any forum - this whole competition, celebration of Alf's posting etc has been a great demonstration of it! Muchos respect to you all!

Thank you Waka :eek:ccasion5:

\:D/ \:D/ \:D/ It's :ho2 again, much better than any easter egg \:D/

whoopee

In Victor Meldrew speak "I don't believe it" whooopppeeee
whooopppeeee whooopppeeee First time in 59 years I've ever won
anything and entry was free, I'm absolutely delighted. I wonder now
whether I should go and buy some loto tickets while my lucks in. :)

On a more serious note and because of your generosity and in view that the comp was free I'm going to donate £20 to Cornwall Air
Ambulance a public funded service. I think Alf might approve
that charity as it was really down to her I won.

My reason for Cornwall Air Ambulance is because a very close friend who was eighty years old on the 31st of March the day after my birthday, had his life saved by the Cornwall Air Ambulance several weeks ago when he was visiting my house when he suffered a heart attack, the helicopter
landed in front of my house and within four minutes of dialing 999 and
less than five minutes after taking off he was in Derriford hospital,
without a doubt the service saved his life.

Again thank you Waka for your generosity and thanks to our Cornish Maid ALF.

Congrats, yer lordship. :D Maybe Waka should send it to me and we can have an official presentation? In a month or 12...  And good on yer for the donation to the Air Ambulance - a cause also favoured here at Alf Towers. =D>

And of course a big thank you to Waka for organising and equipping the competition with such a generous prize. I knew all along you hadn't forgotten to say who'd won... :^o

Cheers, Alf
