Just a cautionary tale to advise against relying on Alibris shipping you a book in time for that Christmas present.
As far as I can work out reading between the lines, when you place an order for a book then the US supplier ships to Alibris Consolidation Centre. Alibris calls it a Distribution Centre but that assumes a very liberal definition of the term Distribution. Your book then gets dumped (consolidated) into a shipping container. When that shipping container gets full and only then, Alibris will send the container to Alibris UK for unpacking and then sending on to you. Alibris say that this is to 'speed up despatch'. I say that this is bollo x.
That's why they say it might take 45 days.
That's why they do not offer any tracking.
Be warned.
