The relative cfms are as follows...

Jet AFS-500, 3 speeds = 1 at 283 cfm, 2 at 333 cfm, 3 at 440 cfm

Record AC400, 3 speeds = 1 at 260 cfm, 2 at 362 cfm, 3 at 409 cfm

I bought the Record for my double garage workshop and I am very pleased with it. Yandles have it at £149.99 inc VAT just now. The Jet is twice the price but, IMHO, the difference in performance did not justify the extra cost, especially as my shop, at 65 m3, is way under the maximum volume (113 m3) that the Record can handle.

Jet afs500 states 600 m3 an hour which converted to cfm is around 353 cfm ,record states 409 cfm so I presume the ac400 is more powerful am I correct or am I missing something here. Thanks again lee.

Yeah, just did the same conversion via Google and you are correct based on 600 m3/h but the online manual for the Jet quotes the cfm figures in my previous post. Odd??

Jet owners manual is here: https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/view/38229773/owners-manual-afs-500-air-filtration-mis-group-inc

Mmm strange that but you say you have the record for a double garage so I think I'll opt for that as it's a fair bit cheaper too plus 5 year guarantee plus hanging hooks and replacement filters cheaper also, record it is.

You can just make air filtration system yourself as well.. A lot of Youtube videos about it, I made it from some scraps , bits &bobs I had around.
