i have a vax wet and dry cleaner that i use for cleaning up the workshop and getting rid of saw dust i was wondering if i could use this to make an air cleaner to mount on the wall and help get rid of dust particles in the air any ideas!

I suppose it depends on how small the particles of dust it collects. Do you mean to clean the air if so I dont think it would have much of a turnover. I believe it is best to collect as much of the dust at source and wear protection if you cant. I really dont have much faith in the so called air cleaners unless you use them in conjunction with other protection. I use a 3M dustmaster and regularly have a clean. I have a big extractor going when I leave the workshop on a timer.
hope that helps
