Advice needed

I want to start wood turning as a hobby,but have no idea which lathe to purchase.Any recommendations please

Any use to you? You really need some "hands on" before spending anything at all.

Until you've done a bit and have some idea what direction to take you'll waste money - there's no point in buying a huge bowl lathe then deciding you want to spend your life making pens, or vice versa buying a small one.

Albert Harrison is based out that way. He used to be in Holyhead but think he may be in llandudno now. He did some really good teaching but I dont know if he still does

Albert is still on Anglesey -- Holyhead in fact; he told me so when he came to demonstrate at Wigan Woodturners on Monday night
A jovial and approachable chap - but terrible at joke telling :roll:

Currently he has an exhibition going at Beaumaris on the Island
