Thanks for the comments Pauls 1&2, spending so much time this spring around the plot on general maintenance haven't had much play time in the shed, thought an hour or so doing something simple was in order and a welcome break from cutting and gluing segments for the run of the mill boxes that has been going on off stage.

PJ, I doubt it's English, came from the usual furniture company's firewood stocks although not all that dark.
