For something heavy, I'd use several of these ... Interlocking Z Clip, you can put them in 'strategic' places.

You could fix one half of them to the Red Kite beforehand and give them a paper template for drilling the wall for the other half of the hangers.

PS I just wanted to know your timber merchant ? I need 2 pieces of Oak or Sapele (something hard) shaped like a baseball bat, It needs to be about 3 feet long and minimum 5" diameter
