Excellent many thanks, I was surprised to find a lot of those tools in my workshop.
 
Thanks for sharing. A fascinating read. Beautiful oval marking gauges 18 shillings a dozen, that's about 8 new pence each.

I really do think that this sort of information is a lot more use when it is widely shared, and one of the aims of TATHS is to "further the knowledge and understanding of hand tools and the trades in which they were used" so it all joins up nicely, I think.
 
Don't worry Mr P - my max bid was somewhat greater than the sale price - and I paid nearly twice as much for the 1938 one! :wink:
