I bought the latest ferrex drill and it's very good so far,

the charger on my old one has died from 2018 but it still works so needed a new one,

hope to put the new one through it's paces soon but early impressions are that it's lighter weight and has a better quality metal drill chuck, and a real bargain at just over £30, if it lasts anywhere near as long as the old one I'll be happy.

Chum of mine's got one of the old ones too - uses it a lot more often than I would, and always claimed it's the dog's .....er....um.....
I wouldn't be surprised if he splashes out again as well.
£30, eh?

Thanks for the tip-off.

I had an almost full set of the first gen blue colour Ferrex cordless tools. The drill and impact driver were fantastic, but everything else ranged from woeful to passable. I ended up selling them all as individual bare units on eBay and made a profit on the lot. I switched to Makita, but have seen the grey colour Ferrex tools rate pretty poorly apart from the drill
