I cant think why you didn't want to show this..maybe a purist would be able to see things I cant but to me that is brilliant ....love the subject matter too

I can see what Brian means as the proportions don't look quite right to me and it looks a bit like a Disney cartoon version of a Sheltie.

Not to denigrate the work at all and as you say Brian, the customer is always right. Never fear, we all know what you are capable of.

Another great piece Brian but I have to say I'm soooooo looking forward to seeing the boxing hares. I'll get Mrs Bodger to have a look coz she's crazy about hares as you know.

Incidentally, It sounds as though you create patterns from photographs. I have some cracking images of red kites you are welcome to (taken at the kite feeding station in Wales). You probably got all you need but if you wanted me to send you some you are very welcome to them.

Just shows you how much I would know at this moment in time hahahaha...I get the fact that the dog is not anatomically correct but I was looking at it from the aspect that it was drawn by a clients daughter who may not be a full blown artist, the representation is what they wanted and surely got from her sketch...So from that point of view I think Brian delivered although in his mind and in the mind and eyes of a purist a proper proportioned dog would have been better.
I'm sure there are many a great artists and crafters who veered off the perceived norm and still made a few shackles by doing so lol
To the customer a piece drawn by their daughter represents something a little more personal than something done from a photograph is my opinion.....I still like it Brian..its quirky and was made to order.
Your work is astounding in every respect and no one is going to be critical on that one piece given its context.
On to the next piece....cant wait to see it

Sadly I'd have to agree with you Brian, not a super design.

But as you say sometimes you just have to take a deep breath and do what the customer wants, it's their money.

Happens to me all the time with websites, all you can do is present your best advice and then do what your told (unless of course it flies in the face of any deeply held principles  ).

On the plus side, as has already been said, you don't need to worry about your reputation as it is already well established here.

So, bottom line another good piece given the applied restrictions.

+1 for what Phill has just said. It is an expert piece of work but sadly let down by the design. (if you know what I mean).
I have never braved the shed this year so far but have some interesting things in mind.
Looking forward to the Hares

take care
