    Just use a beam drill to drill most of the waste and a large chisel! One time i considered buying a chain mortice attachment available in the US for a radial arm saw.It was only around 200$US.Far cheaper than a dedicated chain morticer.

    I bought one of those axminster mitre trimmers a few weeks back and im highly impressed with it,very accurate and would be ideal for the sizes you mention.There a siimilar sized Wadkin one on ebay right now,but dont know what shape the blades are in.link

    I bought a dewalt 621k router off a place on ebay for £80,i honestly couldn,t tell the difference between it and a new one,the only thing i noticed was the accesories packaging had been opened.There was no scratches on the bottom of the router or anywhere else.

    Isnt it usual for single phase motors to get hot or is it a 3 phase motor.Most single phase machines ive had got pretty hot to touch.

    The above should read the pulley belt has the numbers on it. The belts around 15mm at the top/wide part.

    What is pcd (pulley centre diameter/pitch centre diameter?)in relation to pulley size? The pulley i have is 89mm outside diameter and the groove bottom diameter is 59mmI assume the belt wont go in right to the bottom of the groove but rather be wedged somewhere above it.
