    When a SIP 01332 becomes a jet jts250 wip

Been fiddling around with my sliding carriage for my sip, fed up of lifting it on and off all the time, and the constant resquaring of the fence I decided to try and fix the spare cast iron wing to the sliding table like the jts250. Ive removed the ally table so just the bracket slides along the...

    Titebond Cold Press Veneer Glue

When you put the panel in the bag press, did you use a flat panel above and below the veneer as a caul? I've had a similar problem with titebond cold press, and normal pva, I ironed out the blisters, but they reappeared when i sprayed the panel with a water bourne lacquer, but they disappeared...

    Tennons on the panel saw

Do you have acess to a spindle moulder or router table? Might be a quicker way to make your tennons than removing riving knife and then re- installing it.

    sketchup area plugin

Is there a plugin for sketchup that will tell me the area of a component or a group of components? I have got the cutlist plugin which gives a volume measurement, but I'm after a way to calculate the area for purchasing finishes, without working it out manually. Cheers Rob

    Tv table

A work colleague asked me to make a drawing in sketchup of a table he wanted to make. So here we are, I think I'm getting the hang of this sketchup now I learned how to use layers more, which resulted in quicker neater exploded drawings. Only thing I havent done is drawn in the joinery...

    cyclone finished!

No there isn't anything holding the bag the barrel is air tight so there is no upward flow of air causing the bag to suck up, the lid is also secured with a clamp ring. Bob 9fingers checked this for me before I finished my cyclone.

    cyclone finished!

they sell circulatory clean outs at pennstate industries in the US. http://www.pennstateind.com/store/N-CYRCS6.html Basically it uses the cyclone to clean the filters, you isolate the air flow to within the cyclone and the air circulates a few times until the fine dust falls into the drum.

    cyclone finished!

I have bypassed the nvr an use a remote socket set to turn the unit on and off. the cost of this build with materials and an entire extration unit cost me about £400, (£240 for the extractor), and i did have to buy a few tool, tin snips, pop riveter. But I saved £80 on the filter. The...

    cyclone finished!

After my sneak peak yesterday here is thew final product. I brought the plans online (same as Dave L I believe), and used the blower from the fox f50- 842 extractor. I added a neutral vane and an air ramp to stop turbulance. The metal working I found quite difficult as it was all new to me...

    cyclone, so nearly there......

Heres a little teaser so I'd hope to have had the cyclone all finished so I could just pop the blower on top, but a slight problem So tomorrow I will have to build up a baton to move the cyclone over about 25mm, simple enough, If I'd of had more room it wouldn't have been a problem but I've...

Thanks for checking bob, I guess alot of people have leaks in their drums or bins else there wouldn't be all the info on bag grippers.

    help with cyclones

I'll try it with just a bag once it is all set up, the clearvue forum suggests taking the pipe from the cyclone inlet? Seems simple enough. I'll try all of them a see which is best.

    help with cyclones

Hmm, what about drilling a small hole into the drum and attaching one a ventri system off a compressor? Like on my vacuum press? Surely this should create enough of a vacuum to hold the bag down?

    help with cyclones

I think I'll try that wire mesh method, seems as though it should work, a bit like the cage on a cam vac I'm assuming. Another problem is duct sizing. I have 110 plastic soil pipe at the moment and want to upgrade to spiral ducting, my question is should i use 6inch or 5inch, the blower for my...

    help with cyclones

I am in the process of finishing off my cyclone extraction unit I have received a 55 gallon drum from a work mate and was wondering if other cyclone users have lined their bins or drums with waste sacks, and how to avoid the bag sucking up through the inlet. I dont really want to have to take...
