your pitch should be fine. I agree with the above, if your putting planning in. Why not make it as wide and as large as possible. Dave

    Table saw blade

So the time has come for me to buy a table saw blade. Now I understand this is like saying what car should I buy. But what/where should I buy my blade. I also understand that you get what you pay for but I'm no professional, so I'm after a happy medium. As me and alt can't quite decide wether...

    Startrite table saw pics.

Hi, I have recently purchased a Startrite table. After a lot of research and speaking to a few different people from alt I believe the model to be either 255sp or a 300sp. If people could post some pictures of there current Startrite with a couple of close ups of the fence system that would...

    Startrite 255sp or 300sp help

Thank you to everyone that has commented! I have now managed to windle the model down to two. 255sp or a 300sp. Unfortunately the standard parts I need are no longer available. So I'm on to the case of sourcing some retro fitting parts. Let's see how this goes. Cheers Dave

Thanks for the reply and link mat. I've already had a brief look at the site, it looks great. but wasn't sure on my model to look into depth. Sorry about the rubbish pictures I had to lower the res as the file was too large. The plate says - Serial no. 104230 Volts 240v Phase 1 kW 1.5 No...

    Startrite 255sp or 300sp help

I've just managed to acquire my first decent table saw. Before I start to clean it up and getting it running nicely, im after a bit of information. The saw runs fine but I'm aware there is quite a few parts missing. So if anyone has access to a manual or has pictures of a complete one for me...

    Thicknesser

He will have done that because his supply to the sockets will have been 16amp or greater. It is frowned upon to put a 16amp socket into your normal ring/radial and should really have its own supply. this is because the 16amp will not be fused so you are relying on the MCB to trip it. if the...

    Thicknesser

I'm just wondering why your sockets are running from a 13amp supply? Usually I would expect you to have a 32amp or at least a 16amp supply, which would supply a consumer unit in the garage or shed. These often come with a 6amp breaker for your lighting circuit, a 16amp breaker for your sockets...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

Thanks everyone! I'm very happy with the outcome and more importantly I think the finished products are getting better and better every time. I have finished them with a few coats of food grade tung oil, sanding between coats. To be honest I probably go over the top on how smooth they are but I...

Post a photo of the last thing you made

So I'm just stating out with the whole joinery/working with wood scene (I'm an engineer so I'm used to metal and machines) Recently I managed to get hold of some solid wood worktop (a few different ones) and decided to try my hand at making some chopping boards.. Here is a few of the outcomes...
