    Thought I would make a "Major League Baseball" fan friend of mine a present. I downloaded the correct specs and went about sourcing some decent timber. Luckily the gentleman at Yandles were most helpful getting me a piece of 3x3x36" Maple. Here are a few pics of its stages and the final product.

    The pencil project was a test to see if I could do it. I had been tagged on Facebook in pictures of a bigger vase by many of my friends asking if I could make one haha. i brought about 100 coloured pencils and had a practice. This blank was about 70 pencils. J

    Since my last post I've worked more on my tool work and started finishing my pieces with Sand Sealer and Microcrystalline Wax. I love the finish I get with it. Again these are just practice pieces. I have no visions of selling my work and most of this stuff just goes on a shelf in my workshop...
