Aurio bites the dust - zut alors

A bit off topic I guess, but.... It is a pipper to deal with French employment law. It is almost impossible to get rid of employees full stop. Industrial "situations" can signal the end for even a successful company. I've heard this so often it is unreal. I work for a multinational who...

Scheppach HMS260 HMS 260 Planer / Thicknesser for sale

Yes, I didn't check the model number properly. It's pretty much the same as that machine though I guess (attachments aside). I wasn't sure about the rubber rollers. I sold my HMS260 to help fund the purchase of my Felder combination and its the machine I miss the most. With surrated...

Scheppach HMS260 HMS 260 Planer / Thicknesser for sale

I have owned that planer and the various spindle moulder attachments etc. It's decent, but I'm not sure it has the rubber rollers like the more recent models. Also the tables are not cast iron. One of the the latest model went recently for £465 and it was described as "unused" and it would have...

    LASER CUTTING

You really need to see this machine in action before you judge it Scrit. There is a very fine focused jet of water (which I think has some fine abrasive added to it) which cuts right through the wood from above and then enters a bath about a foot below. The wood doesn't even get wet, it sits on...

    LASER CUTTING

Have you thought about water cutting? There is a place in Glasgow which does this with great results. http://www.jetcutit.com/ I went in there to get a piece of 3mm Stainless cut into a sign shape that I designed in Autocad. Fantastic results, and a great machine to watch working. 8)

Very very sad. Sometimes death just picks you out without rhyme or reason. My deepest sympathies go to his family. RIP Barry.

    help, auto switching of extractor

Just a quick warning to everyone using these kemo master slave units. If you are using any equipment which has a blade brake they can get a bit noisy. The blade brake on my Felder saw causes the relay inside the unit to chatter very badly and I already blew the unit once and had to replace it...

    Europlan Lutz P/T

The Lutz stuff is just terrible. I bought the universal and boy was it rubbish. B&Q stuff has better fences! I ended up ebaying it and lost about £600 on it. That was my first and only lesson in the school of cheap tools

    Scheppach plugs

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend Mark. I have had a friend killed in a car accident recently. She was 38 and had two kids under 3. Devastating, really devastating. Makes arguments about wiring sockets seem insignificant. :( I really hope your friend is ok.

    Scheppach plugs

I said I wouldn't say any more but.....this is my point exactly. In this case the correct circuit breaker is *not* being used. A 16A device is being wired directly into a 32A breaker! Forgetting electrical shock and RCDs and for a minute, what about the risk of a fire? Suddenly you have 32A...

    Scheppach plugs

No need to feel defensive Mark :) I don't think anyone is trying to tell you how to do anything. I personally am merely intrigued by the advice you have been given. I'm not going to wheel out my credentials, but I realise you are not a dimwit. It isn't your knowledge or decision...

    Scheppach plugs

I simply *cannot* believe that this is so. That is tantamount to saying that for devices less than 13A you require a fuse in the plug, but for more than 13A that you need nothing? How on earth would building control know what you were plugging into the socket? I mean technically if...
