    Lathe extraction

I was wondering which extraction position people find the best. I have two pipes running to my lathe but find I have to move them all the time. Does anyone have an adjustable position that works well? Be nice to see some examples.

    Help with hollowing out

I had a log off cut given to me about two years ago which has sat in my extractor shed gathering dust. I decided to turn it today and I'm having problems hollowing out the centre. Is there any short cuts to make life easier? What's the best chisel to use? What ever tool I throw at it, it just...

Finally got my lathe set up over the xmas break and produced this pot. It's 125mm in diameter and 90mm tall. Made from american white oak and sapele sections. Didn't think it was bad for my very first attempt at turning. I've now ordered a back plate which will make life easier to keep things...

    Adhesive for turning?

I've had a lathe kicking around at the back of my worktop for a few years, and after looking at segmented bowl turning it's inspired me to dig it out and have a go. I was wondering what glue you guys use which gives the best results for segmented bowls?

    Handy spray bottle

I wanted to produce a bedroom with a sprayed finish other than hand painting afterwards. The bedroom was very detailed with hand carved sections and pilasters. So I popped into Morrells to see if they had a refillable spray can which I can use the actual paint which I used in my spray booth...
