Welcome, I purposefully made my first projects lopsided and odd sized legs so friends and family didnt ask me to make anything for them ;)

    Can I ask another favour?

Hi, The emails are stored online and not on your machine and wont be slowing anything down. Do you have a gmail address that you dont use and the mails are just sitting there or do you use another program as your email client? Slow machine is just the way it is with Windows ( in simple terms...

    Router morticing

I bought a Leigh Super FMT last month as I had a set of stools to make with lots of mortice and tenon joints. Would normally take me all week to do them, but using the FMT I had them done in a couple of hours which was nice, apart from I then had to spend time with the Mrs rather than hiding in...

    Equipping a Small Workshop

Hi, I got a JCB router from B&Q and use it with the Dakota table, works alright for what I need it for. As thats pretty tied up in what it does I've since bought a Triton router that I can move about a bit more, use with FMT jig etc. I needed a table pretty quick so bought "Professional...

Need help on my Mazda 2 capella

Cheers, Some of the clips will take some tugging to get off, dont worry, just keep carefully tugging away. Halfords normally have spares in if any do break, or ebay or motor factors. If its something simple it could be a sticking cable from the door pull lever to the locking mech itself. You...

Dust extractor for hand plane shavings

I got the 1929 model above for £89 I think a few weeks back - was just going to get a cheap vacuum for the garage but this wasnt much more and is great for plugging into the back of the router table, Kreg jig etc and works as a normal vacuum(ish) for general sawdust, tiny offcuts, bits from...

    Beginner in woodworking

Hi, I started off looking at something and copying it for furniture and getting a few of the books recommended on here for reference and background reading. We have a nice coffee table that I duplicated for another room as a first project, just look at how the other one is made up and break it...

Need help on my Mazda 2 capella

Hi, The interior door trim will be held on with a variety of pins and clips that will pull off ( some require a bit of a tug and a few will no doubt break - they are only a few pence each though ) Instructions here: Bah, sodding links... [somewebiste]...

    Dust/Chip Extraction for Small Workshop?

Not sure if you went for this in the end or not, but I got the SIP last week and its great. Adapters fit most things I've got ( router table, kreg jig, homemade adapter for Leigh FMT ). No complaints yet, good bit of kit that gives me a nice supply of kindling for the fire :) Pete
