Osmo Polyx Oil - Too slippy - Will PO Non Slip go on top?

In case anyone is interested in the answer.... Osmo reccomended rubbing it down with White spirit to get rid of one coat and then finishing with the R9 non slip Polyx Oil. I had no idea that Polyx Oil would be so slippy and feel a bit cheated by it since it is reccomended for the job. There is...

Osmo Polyx Oil - Too slippy - Will PO Non Slip go on top?

Hi, I recently fitted an Oak parquet or wood block floor, I know they aren't the same but I can't remember which is the correct classification. I always call it parquet. Anyway, I finished it with a large drum roller using 80 grit, then once I was happy with that I hand sanded (It is my floor...

    Parquet Table

Thanks for the replies. After speaking to someone today I may make the outside edge with Ash instead of Oak. They also suggested that it be "floating" , not glued to anything so that it can move without splitting. I will definitely use ply, probably 24mm for stiffness. I will get some photos...

Where do people get their timber from?

Hello, I am new and I would like to know where people get their timber from? I don't have a real timber merchant near me but Travis Perkins can source things and order in. This appears to be expensive and I am sure there are cheaper places. In what form do people order in as well? Do you order...

Bosch GTS10 XC or a Second hand cast top table saw?

Hello, This is my first post so excuse my naivety with regards all things Wood. I am looking to buy a table saw that will be accurate enough to build cabinets with as well as cutting rough timber. I have looked at the Bosch GTS10 XC which has the advantage of being small enough to put out of...
