    Wooden jaws

On the trip to Axminster yesterday I bought a Clubman chuck and some wood jaw plates specifically for bowl finishing etc. Has anyone any tips on making up the wooden sections, I.e. do you fasten the metal plates on and then bandsaw them into the 4 sections (leaving a gap for the blade of...

    First picture post........

Finally got brave enough to put my head above the parapet and show a turning! Little earring holder 10cm high with a box in the bottom for trinkets, done in a nice piece of Yew I had under the bench. Not sure why one of the piccies is defying gravity though, probably letting the shaving out...

A little advice for retired husbands...............

It is important for men to remember that, as women grow older, it becomes harder for them to maintain the same quality of housekeeping as when they were younger. When this becomes apparent, try not to yell at them. Some are oversensitive, and there's nothing worse than an oversensitive woman...

Fuel from Trash, is this for real?

This looks interesting I wonder if anyone is actually doing it in the UK. Produce you own fuel for the car. This is one of the most amazing break-through's in technology that I have seen! I think we should all do what we can to save what we are destroying! What is more important would...
