    RP CL4 or Coronet Herald

I swapped my Jet 1221VS for the Coronet Herald last year and never looked back. I have mine on the bench feet so I can move it around the bench and out of the way when I'm not turning. If you rotate the head it will turn 20+ inch and over the bed it will do 14". I read comments about the...

If you've got some spare cash the 3m Versaflo is a stunning piece of kit. It's nice and light, so comfortable in fact you forget you're wearing it.

Hi Ian, There are no grub screws. I tried a bit of heat but maybe not enough. I'll give it another go today with some heat and see if I can get it to move. Cheers Pete

Scheppach HMS 2600ci cutter block drive pulley

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing the bearings on the cutter block of my HMS 2600ci PT but hit a snag. I've got the bearing off the non drive side with no problem but can't get the drive pulley off to replace the other bearing. Does anybody have any idea if it's threaded? I've tried the...

    Band Saw Size

Hi, I use a Record BS250 which I think was around the £250 mark. It will cut 5" comfortably, just got to take it steady. Great little bandsaw and pretty accurate. Attached photos are the latest bowl made with it, bowl stands about 8" tall Cheers Pete

I wanted to use the screw sockets as I thought they looked a lot better but couldn't find any large enough to take an M6 bolt, so reluctantly went with the screw cups. The guy bought the amps from the states already built, although I'm an electronics engineer by trade Im more used to building...

    Recent Projects

The guy I made them for didn't want any handles, I think they just sit in his living room as a piece of furniture. Just about to start some matching speaker cabinets The screws need to be accessable so you can take the amp chassis out for repairs etc and he liked the idea of brass screws. But I...

    Using a Biscuit Jointer

I've got to agree with recipio, I used to have an Axminster BJ wich would give me the same results with the joints all over the place. Replaced that with a Lamello C3 and the difference is amazing, joints are perfect everytime using the fence. It's the old 'you get what you pay for' Cheers

Lamello Classic C3 or Top 20s?

Hi Stephen, I bought the classic C3 last year and not looked back since, it is incredibly well made and extremely accurate. I did think about the Top 20s but I just couldn't justify that kind of cash. I think the Top 20s has got some kind of electronic speed control as well as the blade height...

    Noisy Festool TS55?

Hi There, Been lurking around for a while soaking up all the extremely useful info. I started on the slippery slope of Festool a while ago with the OF1010 which I have to say is one cool router, ideal for guitar making. I have just bought the TS55 but have a bit of an issue I think, when you...
