    CT330 Manual Help

Having looked at it though, I concur with what others have said- it is an appalling manual. The content is poor, and it looks as if it was kicked around the workshop floor for a week before being photocopied! A shame, for what seems like a well built machine. Regards, Colin

    CT330 Manual Help

 Oh Dear.... I belatedly did a search on this very site, and discovered that you can download it from Axminster themselves...... Silly boy. Oh well- thanks for any help that might have been forthcoming.

    CT330 Manual Help

I have just been fortunate enough to get a used APT CT330 for a very reasonable price :D . However it has no manual, and despite some time Googling, I can't seem to find anything on-line. Can anyone help? Thanks, Colin

    Bosch GSR12 Battery Life

So it seems that Bosch NiCad batteries are pants ! Pity, I think the drill itself is good. Oh well, lets hope I get a bit of use out of the three new batts before they die.... Colin

    Bosch GSR12 Battery Life

Did you feel that the Bosch batteries lasted ok, or that they died a bit prematurely ? Colin

    Bosch GSR12 Battery Life

I have had a "Bosch Blue" 12V driver for a couple of years, and it's a lovely little drill- but the batteries have recently gone decidedly downhill. Well, you might say, that is to be expected - but it hasn't had that much use, and I always totally discharge the battery pack before re-charging...

    Air nailer

This discussion seems a bit heated, but I will chip in my two-pennorth anyway. I bought a "cheapo" Silverline framing nailer a couple of years ago, and have used it for various jobs since, most notably to build a garden gym (about 3m x 3.6m). I used the largest size nails for the framing and...

    Framing Nailer

I bought a Silverline nailer from a retailer on Ebay earlier this year. Can't remember how much exactly it was, but about £70 - £80 IIRC. I made a large garden building with it, both 90mm nails for the frame and 50 mm for the cladding. Worked fine, no jams. Colin C

    SIP 12 INCH TABLE SAW

I am afraid I must have had my brain in neutral - of couse the blade is driven by a belt - Doh ! (I've seen the bl**dy thing when I put it together !) I'll just lurk quietly.

    SIP 12 INCH TABLE SAW

Brian I would be very surprised if the SIP rotates at 3500 rpm, because it uses an induction motor, and such motors have a theoretical top speed of either 3000 or 1500 rpm, dependent on whether they are 2 or 4-pole machines. In practice the speed will be somewhat less, due to bearing and air...

    SIP 12 INCH TABLE SAW

Just saw (no pun intended) your question. I am only a keen DIYer, so don't give my saw a lot of use, however it has never given me any trouble (when I first had it the NVR switch packed up, but they replaced it straight away, and no problems since). It is a good solid simple machine. It came...

    SIP 12 INCH TABLE SAW

I think that SIP's website is not as good as their table saw ! When I was originally looking for my 10", it seemed to be a long time before it appeared on their site. Incidentally, I bought my 10" when they were still quite new, and it had a metal insert (not plastic) from day 1. Colin S

    SIP 10 table saw

When I first had the saw (SIP), I fitted a 13A plug and tested it - very pleased. Next time I ran it, the fuse blew ! So I wired directly to my consumer unit (with a 15A fuse), and it's been fine since. My criticism of the micro-adjuster was not that it doesn't work, but that it has a very...

    SIP 12 INCH TABLE SAW

I have had a SIP 10" CI saw for more than 2 years. I am very pleased with it - it is very quiet and delivers accurate clean cuts. The fence is rigid when clamped, although the "micro adjuster" is pretty useless - I don't even bother with it. I don't have the sliding table or the the split fence...
