I have just bought a second hand Delta 40-540 scroll saw. The saw works well just the air blower does not work, but that is not a problem. The owner had made a change to the bottom blade release, adding a nut and bolt to clamp the blade in place. This does away with the need for the special tool...

Just thought my wife has an old sowing machine it might have a foot switch will this work if I wire it into the main cable of the scroll saw ??? I will not do anything till I find out more on this. Dermot.

Frank thanks for your tip. I have 2 Labradoodles and lots of tennis balls, I will be looking out for a suitable one to give this a go. Does it have to be windscreen tube or can I use aquarium tubing ? A picture would be good if you can find it. Dermot.
