You are missing something ! look at the link nev posted and is on the for sale page on uk workshop I linked for you. those runners are under mounted. so not on the side. no gap will be needed instead you raise the base of the drawer up I think its 20mm and in that space underneath is where the...

Exposed Dovetails with concealed runners - possible?

blum-draw-runners-t98530.html See the link above a member is selling 4 drawer runners, they are under mount so you need to leave the bottom of the drawer a little higher but the sides then, don't have any ugly cap or metal drawer hardware. Regards Richard

    vivid coloured lacquer

the easiest way would be use a spray can colour then go over it with a gloss clear coat lacquer. adding a tint to lacquer would be how you could achieve that using a spray gun set up regards Richard

    £100 table saw

I wouldn't call a 100 euro table saw safe! it will have a horrendously loud motor. a fence that will not stay locked or parallel to the blade, A riffing knife that will be flimsy and hard to set in the perfect position. and a really light narrow kerf saw blade as it will have an under powered...

    damp glue

another solution, in the waste area, drill a hole through all the blocks for a dowel use it for your alignment. doesn't give you more open time but should take out some of the hassle!

    damp glue

a dam cloth works well! would do this for complex multi part glue ups when i was in the heat of Denver. it just slows down the absorption of the posture from the glue into the wood which gives you a little extra play time. Richard.

    Workbench, Assembly and Down-draft Table

Really nice Idea, For an assembly table flatness is important could you have some more grid support for under your 18 mm top ? definitely one down the middle over the slot for the dust extraction, shouldn't effect air flow. regards Richard

    Table top joiners?

I would recommend these very strong once tightened and with a use of dowels or a tongue and groove will keep alignment as well. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003Z7VR34/ref ... B000GFOXNY Richard.

Did anyone watch Evans's "Top Gear?"

way too try hard... and annoying. the original top gear was getting very ridiculous and scripted.. then this bs took the biscuit. was really really corny. the lame jokes slagging the previous show just showed what we will be missing :/
