Afternoon all. I've glued up some pine boards to make a toy chest for my son, I need to flatten the boards now but my belt sander is on the blink. I'm hoping someone on here can help me. If anyone owns or has access to a drum sander and can put the boards through for me I would be only too happy...

I wonder if anybody in the West Yorkshire area is able to help me. I have two 12' lengths of tulipwood I need machining to size. Sadly I don't have the space or money for a planer/thicknesser of my own. If anybody is willing to help me out I would be more than happy to contribute to your beer...

Thanks, I think that the tails being a bit narrow would come under the planning stage I mentioned in the OP, but I wouldn't have thought of that, so thank you :)

I have a dewalt dw743n flip saw, however when i want to rip wood sheets into lengths, i seem to fill the garage with smoke to the point i have to hit stop and leave till it clears. The saw also seems to struggle a bit when pushing wood through, a 2metre rib of hard board can take 5mins+ yet on...

Thank you for the recommendations. I ended up going to Arnold Laver where I bought a length of tulipwood at £18 cu/ft + vat. All I now need to do is find a local friendly joiners shop who will plane, square and thickness the stock for me. I have a feeling that it will be more of a task than...

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. Can anybody please recommend me a good supplier of either beech or tulipwood in or close to the Bradford area of West Yorkshire. I would be wanting planed stock due to not having room for a planer thicknesser. Thanks in advance.
