Difference between EB KGS301 and KGS331 SCMS ?

The KGS 331 comes with a dust extraction kit (0910003496) and is equipped with a carbide sawblade (60 teeth) while the KGS 301's standard carbide sawblade has only 24 teeth. In other words, you can turn a KGS 301 into a KGS 331 if you additionally purchase the dust extraction kit and the blade...

Aldi Compressor & air tools from Thursday 1st March

270 l/min is a very "academic" number the compressor is not likely to reach in real use. As far as I know, this number is calculated according to the piston displacement and the rpm. I guess that the Aldi unit effectively delivers apporx. 4 cfm at a pressure of 90 psi. Hope this helps, Christian

    Elu 177E - Equivalent ?

The Felder bandsaws are definitely not made in Austria. As far as I know, Felder buys them from an Italian company, probably ACM. To my knowledge, many bandsaws (such as compressors) are produced in Italy today. Hema is one of the rare exceptions that offers several German made bandsaws...

Festol TS55 Or Good Circular Saw and Guide Rail

Yes, as the proud owner of a TS 55 I already discovered that. :) I simply don't know what Festool did in order to create this (patented, I think) feature. Have a nice day, Christian

Festol TS55 Or Good Circular Saw and Guide Rail

I'm not sure I really understood how this works. One splinter guard is used for perpendicular cuts. Ok, that's clear to me. The second one is used for bevelled cuts. As the cutting point "moves" when you change the angle of the blade, any bevelled cut between 0° and 45° has its own cutting line...

    RIP little blue Bosch......

As far as I know, Bosch's current 9.6 V cordless tools use O-pack batteries while Scrit's Bosch runs with flat-shape batteries. So in order to use the batteries Scrit already owns he'd have to get an old or used Bosch cordless drill. Have a nice day, Christian

    RIP little blue Bosch......

Hi Scrit, I had thought you were contemplating two new cordless tools – a drill and a driver. As a consequence I assumed that you might get along with the drill for a couple of weeks and could buy the additional driver a tad later. The Makita 6270 mentioned is basically a good tool in my...

    RIP little blue Bosch......

Hi Scrit, if you don’t need the GSR 10,8 V-LI immediately you might want to wait for the new model. Differences: - 500 rpm instead of 400 rpm - 1.3 Ah instead of 1.0 Ah batteries - quick release chuck for ¼” hex shaft - maybe it even has the brake Ray is missing on his one (but I’m not sure...

    dewalt 27105 flip over saw

Scrit, I’m not a pro but have used an Elu TGS and Festool and Elektra Beckum trimming saws (Mafell calls them pull-push saws). If I had to decide between the TGS style and the trimming saws I’d definitely opt for the latter. Have you ever had a look at trimming saws such as the Mafell Erika and...

    Thinking of a Festool C12 - am I mad?

No, I don’t think you’re mad. I don’t own the C12 but have been using the CDD 12 for more than 3 years now. Long story short, if you’re looking for a high quality cordless drill you can choose from a rather wide range of types and brands. And you’ll most likely find a good cordless drill that is...

    Trim saw

Apparently, many (cordless) tools are a lot cheaper in the USA than in Europe. Thus I'd be also tempted to purchase overseas. Please tell us more. Did you have to pay customs? I would not mind buying a European 230 V charger additionally if buying the tools in the US would save me $$$. Thanks...

    Trim saw

No personal experiences with cordless trim saws but I read a review in a German magazine a few weeks ago. Of course, this review basically presents just one point of view but it still might be worth a look. The result in short: 1. Makita BSR 730 2. Dewalt DC 390 3. Bosch GKS 24 V 4. Milwaukee V...
