heavy duty drawer runners

hello all.

Have to make something similar to the this,

Will be two pullouts side by side, taller one about 1850mm high, both about 800mm wide, and a pullout length of about 700/750mm.
Have found some runners which look like they will work (also the only ones I could find that will support the drawer base from underneath as well as the side.
Trouble is they are a bit pricey.

Just wondering if anyone has done similar and what you used.

I used these on my saw table: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141382827424 700mm long, they do not support under the drawer, but not beyond the wit of man to put an aluminium angle on the face of the slide to enable that.

If you’re drawers are over a smooth floor could you not use a couple of wheels to take the weight, then the runners are just to guide.

Doubled up i.e. 4 runners per drawer.
Haven't had any problems so far.

Thanks for all the useful replies.

I did suggest running the units on wheels , but the customer wanted the skirting to follow along the front of the unit.
Must say I haven't thought of using two runners per side, will look into that.

I was looking at doing something similar for a customer but think the price of the runners put them off. The runners I was looking at using were from Hafele, they have a good selection.
