Do you think that I went a bit thin.

I was having a play with my new toy a crown revolution hollowing tool spent a few minutes setting it up and having a practice on the above piece. First impressions is that it is a good tool. So looks like I will be turning a few hollow forms in the future, I may even have to add some colour and texture to them as well.

I like it like that. will it retain its shape do you think ?

It was meant to be a hollow form and I managed to go through the side OOOOPS    . Also look at the right hand side and you can see where it cracked after it came off the lathe also at the bottom as I am holding it you can see the hole I was hollowing it through.

I have turned things that thin before from kiln dried wood and they have not moved. If this had come out complete it would have moved as the wood was wet.

Looks like it works well, must get one at some stage, like your glowing orb !
