Just before christmas last year I was diagnose with diabetes after many problems with my eyes and feet... I had already given up saw sharpening as my eyes were no longer good enough and were still getting worse. Now the time has come when I finally admit to myself they are no longer good enough for me to continue with my woodcarving... oh hum! So finally come to terms with it and sorting out out all my carving gear with a view to selling! I am determined that I shall still continue with some woodworking even if it might be a bit 'agricultural'!
However not all bad news because it has rekindled my love of cooking ( discovering different ways of eating for diabetes) much to the wife's delight. So what I have lost in woodcarving I gain in cooking which has been a passion of mine for many years. Is this a case of He gives ... He takes away or should it be the other way around?
