one day i will get some long clamps but for now i came up with this contraption to join two smaller k-bodies together.

i seem to be making a lot of tables lately here are the clamp joiners in action the look a bit odd with three heads but it works perfectly

a freind asked me to make it for him as he already had the top with slate tiles bloody thing is heavier than my tablesaw :shock: DAMHIKT

That is a nice table Tom _ think your friend should be well pleased.

On older K bodies there are a couple of "pips" that stop you removing the movable jaw, so to use your method of tying two together, you would have to file these off.

I've seen joining plates on the Bessey web site that do just what you have done but I've never seen them listed by any of the main Bessey dealers here. Any way, your solution must have been miles cheaper and it did the job very nicely by the look of that table.
