Workshop build question?

Hi all,

Having all (most) of the timber delivered tomorrow from Dobuild for the start of my workshop build and I have a query (one of many probably in the coming weeks !).
I am making the base out of 6x2's sitting on concrete pier foundations infilling with 100mm polystyrene covered with 18mm ply, do I need to put some polythene sheeting between the insulation and the ply as I would for a vapour barrier on the walls?
Just a word to say thanks to all the people who have posted workshop build threads over the past year , I have picked up loads of good ideas and build tips that have proved invaluable during the planning stage.

I would certainly put a membrane between the joists and the concrete piers as they will soak up water there. I do not have any membrane in my floor at all just in the walls and of course between the piers and the joists. HTH. :wink:

You need to put insulation between the joists and the piers like this.

Make sure the piers are level either by accurately levelling the shuttering before pouring the concrete, or by levelling each pier using a piece of slate set in mortar.
