Hi all,

Having all (most) of the timber delivered tomorrow from Dobuild for the start of my workshop build and I have a query (one of many probably in the coming weeks !).
I am making the base out of 6x2's sitting on concrete pier foundations infilling with 100mm polystyrene covered with 18mm ply, do I need to put some polythene sheeting between the insulation and the ply as I would for a vapour barrier on the walls?
Just a word to say thanks to all the people who have posted workshop build threads over the past year , I have picked up loads of good ideas and build tips that have proved invaluable during the planning stage.

I would certainly put a membrane between the joists and the concrete piers as they will soak up water there. I do not have any membrane in my floor at all just in the walls and of course between the piers and the joists. HTH.
