I have been looking for a supplier of more unusual woods such as Zebrano, Wenge and such like, but living in the North all the good suppliers appeared to be in the Midlands or down South. Until someone suggested RH Chappelow in York. What a place, never seen so much and such a variety of woods in one place. The whole place can't be more then 300' x 300' but it's staked the the ceiling with every kind of wood you could imagine and the prices are good too. Came away with a load of Purple Heart, Wenge, Bubinga, Zebrano and London Lace Wood. Could have got more but I value my marriage. For all you, who like me live in the cold dark North, this place is worth a visit. One of the really big pluses is they will cut you what you want so you don't have to take a 8' + length like some merchants.

Anyone looking for olive wood especially should have a word with Neil Lawton, also in York as some of his wood is spectacular.
