I am currently building a wooden bodied car based on a Suzuki chassis from a set of plans by a noted designer in the kit car / rebody world.
Having finished the chassis refurb I am about to put the plywood floor in place. He suggests undersealing the body with a mixture of PVA glue and exterior paint and he has millions more experience than me on this subject but I am struggling with this as I know in the caravan world you are advised not to underseal a wooden floor as it stops it from breathing and can lead to delamination and other woes.
For me I am leaning towards oiling the floor but I am probably wrong.
Either way I would appreciate some thoughts on the matter.
Cheers
