Hi I am about to buy a lathe,I have never done any wood turning before would like a bit of advice on the best starter lathe and tools to get me going,thanks

Well I've got £300 to get going,I've been offered a record power dml24 for £100 but as I said I'm new to this so I don't know if this a good price or not.just feels like I'm going in with my eyes shut thanks

Get a sturdy one and bolt it to a good stand. It is not just the price of the lathe. When you get some tools, a grider and a chuck, you find you have spent double. Get set up and enjoy.

Does it come with any extras like a 4 prong drive center / revolving tail stock center / face plate / chuck / tools ?

If its someone selling up you may get the extras , if its someone upgrading most likely they will hold onto everything
