English Elm approx 9 1/2" x 8" x 2 1/4" d.

Gives a whole new meaning to 'knuckleduster'

Very nice work Badger!

Great tool control and finish on that Scrums, not easy to keep a uniform thickness and there is no hiding any deviation when it is open for all to see.

Pretty cool piece there. Somthing I have yet to do properly. Mine never seem to be square or I chip the tips or something.

Keep the pics coming, looks like you do things worth looking at

Pete

That's lovely, Scrums.

How is this done? Is it turned square? or is it turned round and the sides cut off?

The finish is 3 coats of Cellulose sanding sealer ( thinned about 50:50) rubbed down between each with oooo wire wool, then Woodwax 22 applied with w/wool and buffed.

It's made from a 9" L x 7"w x 4" thk plank - left oblong, that's about 12" on the diagonal.

....just be careful of your fingers !
