Split it lengthways.
Turn/carve two elongated shallow bowls with an asymmetrical rim

Bandsaw box in the shape of a small loaf of bread. It can go with the bread boards and she can keep little cooking bits in it.

Sticking with the bread theme - a knife block for the bread knife.
Again slit lengthwise, make the knife slot and glue back together

That's sweet, you made matching cutting boards for your wife and your girlfriend, you romantic fool.

Knife-block? Door-stop? Romantic fire?

That is bad news, Axminster store opening in your area.

My advice, buy some new shoes and clothes etc now, it’s the last time you will have any cash left for such items.

Take care.
