Where to buy Woodcarving blanks in London?

Hi,

I would like to purchase some nice exotic woodcarving blanks for my dad who is a woodcarver. Is there a shop anywhere in London where I can go and buy this, as post/internet orders will not get to me in time. I am thinking along the line of bubinga, zebrano etc.

South London Hardwoodsin Croydon are probably your best bet.

The woods you list are not the easiest to carve but they do stock them in common sizes for wood turning, they also have plenty of lime and tulipwood which is a lot easier to carve.

think isaac lord have a small supply of blanks, but maybe phone and check
they certainly have some supplies of turning tools which might be useful too.
