If this is in the wrong section could a mod please move it as I wasn't entirely sure where to put this post.

I was given this attachment today and i' not quite sure what it is for. From the looks of things I am guessing it goes into a drill chuck to cut along edges, but I cannot see any way to adjust the width of a cut. Thanks in advance for all help offered.

Looks remarkably like a "poor man's router" marketed in the 60s/70s by CK, possibly having bought the design from Arcoy. From memory, they would take a chamfering blade and a slotting blade at least (looking again, I see you have the slotting cutter). As you surmise, they fitted onto the chuck of a powerdrill, but were not a great success. You just might find the odd cutter for them lurking in a box at a car boot, but it would be a very long shot.
