What tools would you prioritise?

Thanks all who helped with my what scrollsaw question. Now a follow on. I won't say I have a small workshop, it's not. I share my space with the pots in the garden shed. I have been clearing space and a new scrollsaw on a stand will fit in. Workspace will be cleared by removing the old one. Are there other tools you would all prioritise? I don't think I can fit things in like bench saws or those thinning gizmos. What else could be good?
I have seen the belt and disk Sanders for example and not sure if they are good or if hand Sanders like the orbital and delta ones will do.
All advice is welcome.

There is not an easy answer as there are so many tools and machines available to aid the scroller but as Cowboy said, it all depends on what type of project you will concentrate on. I have a belt/disc sander and could not be without it but as your space is limited I would go for a random orbital sander. I have a 5inch Bosch one and again, I could not be without it. It's brilliant for sanding off the underside of the wood after I have made something to get rid of all the fuzzes. A small pillar drill will also be a great help, especially if you plan a lot of internal cuts, the pilot hole will be dead straight, which is essential on the smaller cuts.

I have been making small ornamental shapes from Steve Goods sight like the alien hitchhiker. I've been painting these up with acrylics. I want to try more, a pillar drill, great idea as I will be getting a new scroll saw and want to try finer work. The orbital sander I assume is great when I move onto real wood? At this point I am not sure what I want to make, I will experiment so maybe I should ask more specific questions later when I see what I enjoy making. I assume there are good and bad sanders like with scroll saws? I will search this site later for opinions, thanks.

l think the next tool you buy should be a small pillar drill because if you look on y-tube you will see videos on how to make your pillar drill into a sander simple home made tool it`s more fun doing it that way than paying loads of money for things just a idea. plus you have a drill then for your internal cuts as well 2 tools for the price of 1
